Founded in 1981 by Hervé Quélin, SMBR has been participating in the conservation and the preservation of architectural heritage for over thirty years.
SMBR operates in metropolitan France, overseas territories and abroad.
The company has been involved in the restoration of hundreds of religious, military or civilian edifices, mansions and archaeological sites during this period (Kérylos Villa in Beaulieu-sur-Mer, Thoronet Abbey, the Saint Victor Abbey in Marseille…).

The women and men who make up the company have all received special training adapted to their work in restoration, which requires both technical expertise and sensitivity.

SMBR’s location in Nice has allowed the company to develop skills and competencies related to all types of contemporary and historical architectural heritage.

Our specific know-how covers the areas of lime wash and rendering, trompe l’oeil, moulding techniques, stuccoes and sgraffitoes, restoration of reinforced concrete, construction and renovation of luxury villas.
